Gov Zulum relieves 2 commissioners

Borno state Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has relieved the state commissioner for Environment, Emat Kois and the commissioner of Intergovernmental and Special Duties, Tukur Ibrahim of their appointment.

The governor’s spokesperson, Dauda Iliya, who stated this in a statement, expressed Zulum's appreciation to the two officials and wished them the best in their future endeavours.

It said the governor, however, announced that the two relieved commissioners will be replaced by Engr. Mohammed Habib and Ibrahim Hala Hassan.

Meanwhile, Governor Zulum has also approved Professor Yusuf Gana Balami’s appointment as the Executive Chairman of the Borno State Secondary Education Board.

Balami, Professor of Education Psychology, hails from Hawul, in the southern part of the state.

He worked with Borno State Ministry of Education between 1984 and 1988, and later proceeded to the University of Maiduguri as graduate assistant and he became a professor in 2014.

Zulum congratulated Professor Balami and urged him to deploy his years of experience in the education sector, both as an administrator and an academic, in reshaping the quality of secondary education in the state.
