The need for wealthy individuals and organizations to come up with ways of supporting the less privileged in the society has been stressed.
Presenting food items donated to three Orphanage homes by the Kaduna State Political Appointees, Special Adviser to the Kaduna State Governor on Economic Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, called on well to do individuals to reduce the hardship of the people.
Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed who is also the Chairman of Senior Political Appointees in Kaduna State said the gesture, which is part of the one year commemoration of Uba Sani administration aims to give the orphans a sense of belonging.
He stressed that, despite their circumstances, the less privilege in the society deserve to live better lives, hence the decision by the political appointees to put resources together to purchase food items, drugs and other consumables to support the vulnerable in the state.
The Special Adviser encouraged children at the orphanage and those at home to be strong and pay much attention to their studies to become responsible and productive adults in the future.
Earlier, the Proprietor, Potters Home, Agwa community, Chikun Local government area, Mr Franklin Young, who commended the appointees for the gesture, appealed to other well to do individuals, associations and group to emulate.
Similarly, the Senior Political appointees have also donated Drugs and Hospital equipments to Primary Healthcare Center Jaji in Igabi Local Government Area.
Handing over the items to the officer in-charge of the facility, Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed emphasized state government's commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to the people.
Responding, the Village head of Jaji, Alhaji Adamu Sale, expressed gratitude to the donors, saying that the drugs and equipment would go along way in improving healthcare services in the facility.
