Worried by the alarming trend of deforestation, the Chairman, Kaduna State House of Assembly committee on Environment and Natural Resources, Danlami Usman Stingo has called on local authorities to enforce existing environmental laws.
Usman Stingo made the call during the launch of the 2025 tree planting campaign organised by the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna held in LGEA Primary School, Maraban Kajuru, Kajuru Local Government Area.
The tree planting campaign which is in line with the Kaduna State Government plan to plant ten million trees is in commemoration of the 2025 World Environmental Day.
Speaking on the development, Usman Stingo reminded the people that the day calls for reflection, responsibility and resolute action for the planet we all share.
Usman Stingo who is also the member representing Kajuru Constituency, appreciated the management of the College for choosing Kajuru for the launch of the campaign.
