President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emphasized the need to expand Nigeria’s dairy and livestock economy.
The President stated this at the State House, Abuja, while receiving Queen Mary Elizabeth of Denmark, who is visiting Nigeria as Patron of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
President Tinubu acknowledged Danish investments in agriculture and maritime operations and applauded the contributions of companies in Nigeria.
He noted that with the country’s growing population, the sector holds enormous potential for job creation, rural development, and food security.
Tinubu also highlighted Nigeria’s readiness to deepen cooperation with Denmark in knowledge transfer, veterinary health, and sustainable agribusiness practices.
In a similar development, President Bola Tinubu says Nigeria’s agricultural renaissance has begun as he commissioned two thousand tractors for nationwide deployment under the Renewed Hope Agricultural Mechanisation Programme.
The commissioning ceremony marked the programme’s formal launch at the National Agricultural Seeds Council, Sheda, along the Abuja–Lokoja expressway.
President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming Nigeria’s agriculture sector by modernising farming practices and ensuring national food security.
He described the initiative as a landmark moment in his administration’s food security agenda and a crucial part of efforts to empower farmers and stimulate rural development.
President Tinubu maintained that the ability to nourish the country’s population forms the bedrock of a prosperous nation.
