In an effort to prevent malaria in Kaduna state, the state government has distributed four point five million insecticide treated net across the twenty-three local government areas of the state.
This was disclosed by the Programme Manager on malaria elimination of the ministry, Dr. Sule Danga while speaking with journalists in Kaduna.
He noted that health personnel have commenced the distribution of tokens and registration before the commencement of the net distribution on the 30th of this month.
Dr. Danga noted that Nigeria is among countries with the highest malaria cases, with twenty five percent malaria cases globally.
While pointing that untreated malaria can result in organ failure among other negative health issues, he encouraged people across the twenty-three local government areas, to ensure full participation as the health workers would visit their homes to ensure every household benefits.
