The Federal Government has intensified efforts to tackle malnutrition nationwide with the formal inauguration of the Strategic Board of the Nutrition seven hundred and seventy-four Initiative.
Speaking to newsmen, the Vice President Kashim Shettima said the initiative marks a decisive step by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to confront threatening the lives and development potential of millions of Nigerians.
He said the Nutrition Initiative, is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, and is designed to harmonize scattered nutrition efforts, eliminate duplication, and provide a unified framework to deliver measurable results.
Highlighting the link between nutrition, productivity, and national stability, the Vice President warned that a malnourished population is an unproductive one, adding that failing to address basic physiological needs could exacerbate insecurity and stagnate development.
