To deepen collaboration with the Nigerian Army in tackling insurgency, banditry, and other security threats, the Kaduna State Director of the Department of State Services, Mr. Hakeem Abiola has paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. Abubakar Wase, at the Division’s headquarters in Kaduna.
In a statement by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Shuaib Umar, Abiola underscored the importance of strong inter-agency cooperation in addressing insecurity in the state.
He congratulated Wase on his appointment as GOC and Commander of Sector 1, Joint Task Force, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, assuring readiness to partner relevant stakeholders to address security threats across the Division’s Area of Responsibility.
On his part, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. Abubakar Wase, emphasized that synergy among security agencies remained a cornerstone of the Army’s non-kinetic strategy in combating insecurity.
The visit also featured an interactive session between senior officers of both organisations on issues of mutual concern and the presentation of a souvenir to the DSS Director.
