Kaduna State Police Command in a statement said the raids were carried out under the directive of the state Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, as part of the ongoing efforts to bolster internal security and restore public confidence.
It said the operations targeted criminal hideouts and notorious black spots across key metropolitan areas including Rigasa, Kawo, Tudun Wada, and Sabon Tasha.
The statement explained that during the raid, 30 bags containing approximately 1,600 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, along with hard drugs and other dangerous items were seized.
Others successes recorded include the recovery of a loaded AK-47 magazine and the arrest of a 35-year-old man, Ziya Abdullah, who attempted to sell a vehicle suspected to be stolen.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ensuring public safety, urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police.
