Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has flagged-off the construction of 16.5 kilometres asphaltic road from Kayarda Tasha to Maskawa to Dan Alhaji Road in Lere Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event, the state Governor described the road project as a strategic intervention aimed at addressing years of neglect in rural infrastructure.
He stressed that good roads are central to improving trade, agriculture, and access to basic services such as health and education.
Governor Sani said the Kayarda-Tasha to Maskawa-Dan Alhaji road will ease transportation challenges faced by farmers and traders, thereby enhancing productivity and rural prosperity.
In a remarks, the Chairman of Lere Local Government, Alhaji Jafaru Ahmed who spoke on behalf of the people, expressed appreciation to the state government for prioritizing rural road networks, assuring continuous support for the administration to succeed.
The event, which drew traditional rulers, political leaders, and enthusiastic residents, marks a major milestone in the state government’s ongoing efforts to open up rural communities and boost economic activities.
