Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has presented a budget proposal of 985.9 billion naira for the 2026 fiscal year to the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
Presenting the 2026 budget proposal at the chambers of the Kaduna State House of Assembly this Monday, Governor Sani stated that the budget prioritises critical sectors such as infrastructure, health, education, security, and agriculture.
He said the 2026 budget proposal is designed to drive inclusive development, create jobs, improve infrastructure, and invest in the people of Kaduna State.
The Governor explained that, the budget proposal allocates 699.6 billion naira, representing seventy-one percent to capital expenditure and 286.2 billion naira, representing 29 percent for recurrent expenditure with the Education sector receiving the largest allocation of 25 percent.
The governor also highlighted the administration’s achievements in 2025 in the areas of security, infrastructure, education, agriculture, health, transport as well as human capital and skills development, which have impacted positively on the lives of citizens of the state.
Governor Uba Sani expressed appreciation to the Kaduna State House of Assembly for their usual cooperation and urged them to give the budget proposal all necessary support for the overall development of the state.
